The „Aktionsbündnis gegen Verdrängung und Mietenwahnsinn“- Action alliance against displacement and rent madness – is a nationwide association of tenants‘ initiatives and Right-to-city groups. We work extra-parliamentary and without the participation of political parties.
The aim of the action alliance founded in Göttingen in August 2019 is to bundle, strengthen and coordinate the supra-regional cooperation of all local initiatives and groups and to fight together for a fundamental change in housing policy.
More than 50,000 people gathered in 19 cities for the 1st day of action on April 6th 2019. This started a new form of housing-/tenants-protests and we want to send an even stronger signal and bring the protest to a new Europe-wide level.
